The town has great restaurants with reasonable prices as opposed to the Hotel Zone where you get New York City prices for food and beverage. It’s a lot more practical to stay near the town and then go to the Beach Clubs once in a while. There are so many options in Tulum, but being close to the town is a huge plus.
